Arrival by car

From the motorway (A9 / A115 / A100)
A9/A73
Follow the A9 to Nürnberg, then use one of the 2 right lanes to take the A73 exit towards Fürth/Nürnberg/Heilbronn/ Feucht/N.-Fähre Messe. Then follow the A73 for 12.1 km. Use the middle lane to continue on the Südwesttangente. At the motorway junction Kreuz-Nürnberg-Hafen use the right lane to follow the signs to A3/A73/N.-Centrum/Würzburg/Bamberg. Landgrabenstraße, Gibitzenhoferstraße, Steinbühler Str. and Schlotfegergasse, which merges into Vordere Ledergasse, until you reach Josephspl.  

A6/A73 
Follow the A6 to Nürnberg. At motorway junction 58 - Kreuz-Nürnberg-Süd use the right-hand lane to follow the signs for the A73 towards Fürth/Nürnberg/N.-Fähre. At the motorway junction Kreuz-Nürnberg-Hafen use the right lane to follow the signs A3/A73/N.-Centrum/Würzburg/Bamberg. Landgrabenstraße, Gibitzenhoferstraße, Steinbühler Str. and Schlotfegergasse, which merges into Vordere Ledergasse, until you reach Josephspl.  

A3
Follow the A3 to Erlanger Str./B4. Then take exit 84 - Erlangen/Tennenlohe. Follow Erlanger Str./B4. This changes into Bucher Str., Neutorgraben, Westtorgraben. Turn left into Mohrengasse and follow the road to the junction Karl-Grillenberger-Straße (right). At Wöhrl turn into Vordere Ledergasse. This becomes Joesphsplatz.

Parking facilities

It is best to use the Wöhrl multi-storey car park. Follow Schlotfegergasse/Vordere Ledergasse until you reach the turnoff to Mühlgasse (before Saturn). Turn left into Mühlgasse and drive to the entrance to the Wöhrl multi-storey car park. The entrance is on the right hand side. 

By public transport

From Central Station 
Take the U1 (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof) in the direction of Langwasser Süd and get off at the Weißer Turm stop. 
It takes about 3 minutes on foot from the Weißer Turm underground station to GIM (220 m). Leave the underground station in the direction of Ludwigsplatz/Hefnersplatz. Follow Hefnersplatz to Färberstraße. Turn left into Färbstraße. The GIM is on the right-hand side. 

From Nuremberg Airport 
Take the underground line U1 in the direction of Röthenbach and get off at the Opernhaus stop after approx. 14 minutes (9 stops). Then walk west on Frauentorgraben in the direction of Lessingstraße. Turn right into Kartäusergasse and then left into Kolpinggasse. From Kolpinggasse turn right into Färberstraße and follow the street which leads into Hefnersplatz. Cross Hefnersplatz and walk into Färberstraße until you reach house number 1.
