Qualitative Online Research – GIM at the General Online Research (GOR) conference in Vienna

Making friends on facebook or doing a shopping trip on the internet – for the majority of today’s population leisure time means media time. GIM expert for online research Hanna Knorr shows at the General Online Research (GOR) from April 6-8 how this habit can be used fruitfully by market researchers.

Under the topic “Market Research Online and Offline – Differences in Output and Processing of Qualitative Online and Face to Face Research“ Hanna Knorr presents the results of an internal study exploring the specifics of online and offline focus group discussions by a multi-methodological approach. Some of the questions answered in the online-offline-study will be: What are the advantages of the anonymous setting of an online focus group? Where are its restrictions? Which objectives are better to be handled online, which ones offline?
The online research approach is compared with conventional research methodologies such as concept test, TVC test, image analysis and insight exploration.
